Since you need a sound card for your laptop (a portable), i feel the Fiio E7 suits your needs the best.
Reason 1: Inbuilt Amp is great to drive headphones (which are very useful, specially for laptops/portable devices.)
Reason 2: Inbuilt DAC (So called 'Sound Card') is much better than regular on-board sound cards or X-fi Go, slightly better than Creative Audigy 7.1, and on par with Nuforce uDac. Hence you will notice a great difference even if you plug speakers like AL-VS4121/Edifier C3. I cant vouch for C2 as i haven't heard them, but i assume decent difference would be there.
Reason 3: You seem new to sound accuracy and hence may miss the so-called effects (like bloated bass, unreal Equalizzzzer, etc.). Hence the 3-level Bass-Boost on the Fiio E7 could help you in the transition to accurate sound step-by-step.
Reason 4: Its very VFM considering the fact that it costs ~4k and has comparatively better availability in India (Also has A.S.S.)
Reason 5: Works well with mp3 players / iphones / mobile phones too!
Obvious assumption: 2.0 or 2.1 speakers/headphones only
