Anyone computer enthusiast who grew up during the 1980s remembers the name Commodore.

The computer manufacturer was noted for its quality machines, and until the advent of the Amiga, cheap family systems that were within reasonably priced and powerful for their day. People who think that the days of Commodore computers are over and that they brand name will never return will be surprised to find out that the company is alive and well.

Mark Twain might have something to say on the subject of the death of this beloved former computer company however, if he were asked about them. To paraphrase : it seems that the rumors of Commodore's death have been greatly exaggerated. The company unleashed plan in August of this year to release a new laptop to compete with Dell's Inpiron Mini 9 and Apple's thin book.
